Artificial ceiling beams
Artificial ceiling beams (or false wood beams, as they are also called) are a modern, practical element of interior decor. They are used everywhere: from apartments and private houses to cafes and restaurants. Surely many of us have at least once in our lives been in an antique-style cafe where we could see this ceiling decoration. As a rule, wooden beams are installed there. But wooden ones have their drawbacks:
- They are flammable: if exposed to the slightest fire, they can easily ignite. Polyurethane beams are fire resistant.
- Expensive: polyurethane is several times cheaper.
- Not very practical: due to their monolithic nature, wiring or thin pipes cannot be placed inside them, and their relatively heavy weight can create difficulties during installation. Beams made of foamed plastic, in turn, are lightweight and have a void on top for communications.
Recently, an interesting trend of increasing demand has been noticed not only among owners of hotels, cafes and restaurants, but also among ordinary people. You can search the Internet for apartment interiors with beams and see for yourself that they look amazing in many design styles.
