Budsektor — everything for home decor

Budsektor is an online store of decorative and finishing materials. We've been at it since 2006, and started, honestly, with a pretty modest range — mostly window sills. Now the catalog has grown so much it's easier to just open the site than try to list it all: curtain rods, moulded decor, liquid wallpaper, carpets, roller blinds, 3D panels, WPC wall slats, facade elements, flashing, drainage systems, baseboards, photo wallpaper — and dozens of smaller items besides.

Our warehouse is our own, in Kyiv, and that's not just a nice line for the website. In practice it means an order placed in the morning quite often ships out the same day — no "wait for the supplier to deliver," the way it goes at stores that order per request.

Window sills are their own story, because that's genuinely where it all started. We carry three lines, and the difference between them is real, not just a marketing split into "budget" and "premium." Open Teck is the simplest, most affordable option — people mostly get it to fill the gap and not think about it again. Danke already looks more interesting, the texture reads denser. Werzalit is about the stone: people pay noticeably more for it, and it looks the part. We never push a customer toward the pricier option if the simple one genuinely does the job — over time that works better for reputation than a single upsell.

We underrated moulded decor as a category for a long time ourselves, if I'm honest. It seemed like — well, mouldings are mouldings, who needs that. Then we started noticing: people come back for moulded decor more than for most other categories. A medallion under a light fixture, a moulding along the ceiling — and a room suddenly looks like it went through a much bigger renovation, even though money-wise it's nothing like redoing the floors or repapering everything.

There's also less obvious stuff — things people rarely notice until they're specifically looking: 3D wall panels, WPC slats, facade elements, drainage systems and flashing. The formula is simple: if it's not the actual shell of the house — not concrete, not brick, not rebar — but what that shell gets decorated and finished with afterward, chances are we have it, you just have to look for it in the catalog.

Our seasonality is fairly predictable. Closer to winter, people noticeably ask more about insulation and sound/heat-proofing — makes sense. Near the final stage of a renovation, once the walls are done and it's time to finish the interior, it's carpets and roller blinds that move. Carpets, by the way, have their own section with samples — texture genuinely can't be judged properly from a photo, no matter how well it's shot.

Who actually needs us? It's fairly simple and varied at the same time. Private customers write and call in, doing their own renovation, often picking something like their first curtain rod and getting confused about what actually separates the models. That's normal, we answer questions like that every day and don't think they're dumb. Interior designers reach out with a finished plan — they usually just need the order placed fast, off a list, without a long conversation, and we try not to waste their time. And construction crews work with us too, ones who care about reliable supply and clear terms rather than a one-off random purchase.

For anyone who'd rather not install things themselves, we offer measuring and turnkey installation. A specialist comes out, takes precise measurements and confirms the details — that avoids almost every mistake that happens when ordering material. Then a crew installs curtain rods, window sills, baseboards, lays laminate and carpets, fits baguettes and moulded decor. Cost and timing depend heavily on the scope of work, so it's better to confirm the actual number with a manager when placing the order rather than look for an average on the site.

Delivery is fairly straightforward. Within Kyiv it's free for orders from 7,500 UAH, usually takes a day or two, delivered to your entrance (carrying it up to your floor is separate, if you even need that). Across the rest of Ukraine we ship via Nova Poshta or another carrier of the client's choice, also same-day in most cases, and free from 10,000 UAH too. You can also pick up your order yourself, straight from our warehouse at Vernadsky Blvd, 26, if you arrange a time in advance.

Payment works a few ways: bank transfer to our account (relevant for businesses), Privat24, cash at the office or to the courier, or cash on delivery at the carrier's branch — whichever's more convenient. We accept returns within 14 days of purchase, per Ukrainian law. The exception is anything made or cut to custom dimensions: unfortunately that can't be returned, it's just how that kind of product works.

Our showroom is at: Kyiv, Vernadsky Blvd, 26, in the Svyatoshyn district — near the Svyatoshyn and Akademmistechko metro stations. Come by if you want to see the materials in person and feel the texture before buying: a photo genuinely doesn't always let you judge that correctly, especially with carpets and moulded decor. We're open weekdays 9:00 to 18:00, the showroom 10:00 to 17:00. On weekends, honestly, nobody picks up the office phone, but we accept orders on the site around the clock — we'll just process them on the next business day.

Short version: we've been around long enough not to promise the impossible, we keep stock at our own warehouse rather than just on paper at a supplier's, and we try to keep things human — no pushing you toward the pricier option and no boilerplate non-answers to real questions.
