Installation of ISOPLAAT floor slabs
Before installation, it is recommended to keep floor slabs in the same room where they will be installed for 1 day so that their humidity is equal to the humidity of the surrounding air. This will reduce the subsequent "play" of the slabs after they are installed. To do this, the slabs are installed at the end, and strips are laid between them to ensure air access to the surfaces of the slabs. Floor slabs are laid on the main surface next to each other, leaving an expansion gap of 5-10 mm between the walls. To leave an expansion gap, pieces cut from floor slabs are suitable, which are removed after laying and securing the slabs. It is necessary to leave a gap of 1-2 mm between the plates. For greater stability, the boards can be attached to the main surface either by gluing at several points or with staples/nails. Floor slabs are laid at an angle of 45° relative to the joints of the floor coverings. This prevents the gaps between the flooring material and the floor slabs from matching. The flooring material (laminate or parquet boards) is laid directly on the floor slabs.
