The result may be a bent or damaged cornice. In this case, the best option would be a double forged cornice. Another significant factor when choosing a curtain rod is the size of the window. In order for the window to appear high, the cornice must be installed higher. If the window is narrow, it is advisable to purchase a long cornice so that the curtains that hang on it partially cover the walls. If you have a large window, you should choose a cornice that fits the width of the window.
There are several types of cornices: round forged, profile and ceiling. Nowadays, round forged cornices are the most popular. Metal cornices harmonize perfectly with modern furniture. They will look good in a kitchen where there are metal elements.
A cheap alternative is plastic curtain rods. The good thing about these curtain rods is that they come in different colors. A plastic cornice is suitable for a children's room with a lot of bright furniture.

Profile cornices are made of aluminum; they can take different shapes, and therefore are widely used in “complex” interiors.
